Last weekend, the Українська правка YouTube channel published a melancholy video made by a drone, in which it shows all the details of the current situation of what was once the only example of the Antonov An-225, the largest plane in the world. In addition to the impressive images, the music helps to increase the dramatic content of the video.
Over just over three minutes, it is possible to see every detail of the aircraft, in 4K quality and recorded by a drone. From the unprecedented angles, it can be concluded that the entire aircraft was affected. Even the parts that weren’t hit by the fire don’t look perfectly lined up like they used to.
Since the first images of the destroyed aircraft appeared, it has been known that this is an irremediable and irreparable case. In other words, this specimen of the An-225 was definitely destroyed. Building a new one would be a distant dream, costing more than $1 billion, according to estimates.
While they may question who destroyed the aircraft, Ukraine or Russia, that is irrelevant. If there was no war, there would be no lives lost and no aircraft destroyed. The video is available below (wait for loading).
